Who We Are
Maroon Equity Partners (“MEP”) is an investment company founded by May Chen in 2024. Prior to establishing MEP, May spent over a decade at leading institutions including Goldman Sachs, Warburg Pincus, and billion-dollar hedge funds.
MEP’s goal is to generate long-term compounding capital appreciation through three pillars: 1) an actively managed public equity portfolio; 2) allocations to the world’s top external managers; and 3) participation in private deals with asymmetrical upside potential.
The firm’s name honors the school color of May’s alma mater, the University of Chicago, where she earned an undergraduate degree in economics and mathematics.
